The Mission
“Give Me Shelter” is more than just entertainment—it’s a movement. Through OUTREACH, EDUCATION, and CREATION, “Give Me Shelter” aims to combat homelessness.
- OUTREACH: “Give Me Shelter” is based on true stories of hope written by youth who have experienced homelessness and residents of New Horizons, a youth transitional housing facility.
- EDUCATION: New Horizons residents and staff receive instruction on screenwriting and filmmaking from WGA, DGA, and PGA film industry professionals.
- CREATION: Our aligned efforts will culminate in a TV pilot that is collaboratively created by industry professionals and youth who have experienced homelessness.
The result? “Give Me Shelter“: a piece of cinematic art that will deliver a message of hope, and provide education and job-skill training to youth exiting life on the streets.
